Rotate PDF: A Practical Guide
Use Rotate PDF to correct sideways or upside-down pages. Rotation changes the orientation in which a page is displayed. It does not automatically straighten a slightly skewed scan or improve the resolution of its text.
How to Use Rotate PDF

- Select the pages and rotation available in the workspace.
- Check that the direction matches the preview.

Quarter-Turn Rotation
A 90-degree turn changes portrait to landscape orientation; 180 degrees turns a page upside down; 270 degrees is equivalent to 90 degrees in the opposite direction.
Rotating a page is different from cropping it. A scan can be correctly oriented but still have wide margins or tilted text. Those are separate problems.
Worked Example
A page whose heading reads vertically may need a quarter turn. If it becomes upside down after the first attempt, reverse the direction rather than rotating every other page too.
For a mixed document, inspect both portrait text pages and landscape tables before choosing a global rotation.
